Joel, nice work on the blog–all the links are great. Hopefully those who are not on facebook can come together here.

Perhaps a link to the Geocaching website geocaching.com could be added to the list since there are many cachers like myself who love to use the park as well for our hobby.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve added the link. If there are any local geocaching organizations with web sites, please let me know and I’ll post their URLs, too.

My family has been spending weekends at the Van Buren or Heaven Hill cabins for more than 50 years. I have many wonderful memories at the park and will do anything I can to assist in keeping it open. Could we get volunteers to do an “extreme home makeover” on the cabins for renovations, get businesses to donate beds and furniture, or other volunteer based programs could help. Any ideas?

INKY (Indiana/Kentucky) is the local group that I know of and meet with on occasion. The website that I Googled for them is: http://www.inkygeo.com/
